What Is The Procedure For Porcelain Veneers?

X-rays may be taken and impressions made of your mouth and teeth so that the veneers can be ordered. Next, your teeth will be prepared for the veneers. About a ½ millimetre of enamel will be removed so the veneer can be placed on your teeth without making them feel bulky. Your veneers are made in a dental laboratory (which takes one to two weeks), but temporary veneers can be placed until they arrive.
At your final appointment, your veneers will be fitted to make sure they are the right shape and size. Then, they will be permanently bonded. A follow-up appointment may be necessary to check on how the veneers are functioning and how your gums are responding and to make any adjustments that may be necessary.
